MARYANN SILBERT, Piano Lessons in Palm Coast 88 Strings Piano Studio

My piano brings me joy, comforts me in troubled times and helps me express my emotions better than any words. I started playing the piano in the third grade and studied with Sister Patricia Cashman, the pianist and organist for the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill, PA.  I was fortunate to have a wonderful teacher that inspired this piano relationship and she is still a great friend.

I started piano lessons in third grade. I, also, was one of the organists in our church at that time. The trumpet was my instrument of choice in high school where we performed at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia.  Although I majored in accounting in college I pursued my love for music throughout the years. Sister continued to teach and guide me on my musical journey.

Gary, my husband, and I raised our two sons, Robert and Richard, in Bucks County, PA.  Rob played the piano, drums and guitar. Rich played piano, saxophone and guitar. Both are engineers now.

Having our five grandchildren involved with music is important to us. We were excited when our oldest granddaughter, Olivia, traveled with her school band to Disney when she was in high school.  She performed with the marching band in Epcot and then she played with the orchestra in the Contemporary Ballroom. It was thrilling to watch. We were so proud of her. We are proud of our oldest grandson, Griffin, plays the trumpet and piano. He is in the school band in Michigan. He had a great piano teacher (me).

We moved to Palm Coast in 2003 and live in Seminole Woods. I worked over 25 years providing accounting support for Banking and Flagler County. We were active in scouting, sports and music performance activities.  I am retired and pursuing my dream of bringing the love of the piano and music to others. Teaching piano to students of all ages, both children and adults, has enriched my life and brought me joy.
